This beautiful property is located in Montaña Grande, in the southern part of the beautiful Nicoya Peninsula. Despite the quiet location, a school and a bar with restaurant in Montaña Grande are only 3 minutes away by car. The nearest larger shopping facilities in Lepanto and Jicaral can also be reached in 10-15 minutes. In Jicaral there is also a modern hospital, dentists, pharmacies, banks, petrol station, car and motorcycle maintenance and all essentials. The ferry to Playa Naranjo is 25 minutes away, numerous good restaurants and beautiful beaches can be reached in 15 – 30 minutes.

This amazing 7-hectare finca with 2 stylish houses and 2 guest bungalows is located, safe and quiet in nature with a breathtaking view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. As there is always a light breeze, it is very pleasant, yet it is not far to the beautiful beaches. It is located just above the village of Montaña Grande and has all the necessary infrastructure (water, electricity 110/240, internet, telephone, paths, etc.).

The two beautiful main houses with infinity pools are fenced and have comfortable storage areas.

House1 :This house is centrally located on the hill of the finca and was completed in 2012. It is anchored on a solid foundation and built with a wonderful, elaborately crafted dodecagonal chalet style in precious wood.
It has over 100m2 of living space and two bedrooms, an open-plan living room/kitchen combination (kitchen made of cocobolo wood), a separate WC and a spacious shower room. The interiors are spacious and built up to six meters high to ensure optimum air circulation. The additional terrace with over 50m2 and 180° design leaves nothing to be desired. Here you can enjoy the flora and fauna as well as the colorful, unique sunsets every day. The 25m2 infinity pool is located in the basement, where you can also enjoy the fantastic view and sip an aperitif. There is also a further WC with shower. The 25m2 studio can be used as a further room or as storage space. The remaining area of 70 m2 can be used for a variety of purposes, such as a bar with lounge or a sports area.
The roof was extensively rebuilt to western standards at the end of 2022 and still offers a 3-year guarantee on the work and 19 years on the materials. The main interiors were modernized in 2023.
The house has kitchen equipment incl. stove, fridge, freezer, four air conditioners, decalcification system, hot and cold water, etc. (2022 and newer).

House2: This house was completed in 2023 and is beautifully nestled on a slope. The house was built in solid construction and stands on a 120m2 concrete foundation. It has just over 80m2 of interior space with 4 rooms and an open plan living/kitchen unit. The house has modern tiling in all rooms. There are also two bathrooms with showers.
The lush terrace invites you to linger and the howler monkeys often come by as spectators. The beautiful concrete deck with the 6×3 meter infinity pool leaves nothing to be desired for bathing fun. The outdoor area has been planted with many fruit and ornamental plants and the surrounding area has been carefully fenced in. There is a retaining wall on the slope and a bodega for storing materials and equipment. This house can be lived in by a second family or is also ideal as a rental property.

Tico-style guest house (approx. 50m2 living space). This vacation and guest house has an open kitchen and living area, a separate room and a toilet and shower area. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, fridge and all the necessary utensils. The outdoor area/terrace is covered and equipped with a large table.
The cabin offers bedding for 4 people.

Charming bungalow made of teak wood: This guest house was modeled on the architectural style of House I and has 50m2 of living space, 2 rooms (1x double bed, 1x sofa bed and space for luggage), WC / shower and a large, covered terrace. The terrace area is equipped with a nice lounge and a fridge. This cabin offers sleeping accommodation for 2 – 3 people.

The fenced finca covers 7 ha with an adjoining stream. This invites you to swim with its small cascades and natural pool, and there are also 2 other good springs on the land. The plot has an approved building area of 75%, which allows further expansion or can also be parceled out and partially sold.  There is also a rancho and a renovated stable for keeping animals. If you want to breed fish, crabs or the like, there are four breeding tanks.

The soil is extremely fertile (no red earth) and there are already a large number of medicinal and useful plants, various fruit trees and timber. To name a few examples – lemons, mandarins, mangos, nonis, advocados, guabanas, caimitos, zapotes, pitahayas, almonds and cashew nuts, various types of bananas. A teak plantation has also been established as an investment on the outskirts of the finca, as well as a large number of pochotes, cedars, guanacastes, laurels, etc.

The property is well-kept and natural, no sprays or toxins have been used. Therefore, the rich Costa Rican biodiversity is fully intact, and we enjoy many animals such as white-headed and howler monkeys, armadillos, coatis, iguanas, birds, colorful butterflies, mariola bees, just to name a few.
